Felt pretty much just as bad today as yesterday, without the ability to sleep. So I made an appointment to see my normal Doc.
One and a half hour "lunch" later, you're still dehydrated (WTF? I had over 20 oz of fluid before I came in!), change your diet to more "binding" foods (lucky I like rice) and get bloodwork done to confirm there's no actual infection.
I couldn't wait for the bloodwork, so I have to reschedule this for some weekend. If I do it, since I'm going to have to PAY for it.
I'm wondering if this is all just STRESS, because, really. Dehydrated? Again? Yeah, not buying it.
Can I just be put into a coma until Oct 1?

Date: 2011-09-07 12:07 am (UTC)A friend of mine who routinely works in hot, dry environments (she's an Egyptologist who does field-work) says that if you aren't peeing every hour, you aren't drinking enough. I don't know if I'd go that far, but drinking water until you are peeing regularly is a good thing.
One of my health problems is dehydration, even though I drink so much (both my fat and diabetes make me trend towards dehydration). It doesn't bother me because I'm used to it. But I still judge my hydration through my output.
